How to flip a coin to decide on something

Step 1: Find something to decide on. It must be a decision that only has two possible outcomes.

Step 2: Find a coin
-Quarters are the coin of choice in being of ideal weight for a thumb to propel in a flipping motion.
-However, other coins can also work in substitution.

Step 3: Assign an outcome to each side of the coin. For example, if you are deciding on the answer to a true or false question, assign true to heads and false to tails, or vice versa.
-Be sure to remember which values have been assigned.
-On an american quarter, the heads side displays a head, yet on the tails side displays an eagle. This can be misleading, but do not worry.

Step 4: Make a fist with your thumb resting on your index finger. Rest the coin on top of your thumb.

Step 5: Flick your thumb in an upwards motion. A good flick will flip the coin rapidly in the air.

Step 6: "The catch"
- The catch is the most important yet most difficult part. You must quickly catch the coin in the hand that flipped the coin. When you catch it, DO NOT LOOK AT IT.

Step 7: "The flip"
- The flip is when you take the hand with the coin in it, and slap the top of your other hand with it so that you place the coin on the top of the other hand.

Step 8: This is where you look at the outcome of the coin toss. Simply remove the covering hand.

Step 9: Follow through with your descision. Alternately repeat steps 4 through 8 for a "best two out of three"
